Since Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) launched in 2009, I’ve been so lucky to call Boston my home during each season with the Boston Breakers. I couldn’t have asked for a better city to explore over the past three years and wanted to share with everyone my top ten favorite places. So here it goes…
Wired Puppy: This is my favorite coffee shop in town! It’s on Newbury Street and my favorite drink here is the Iced Vanilla Latte.
J.P. Licks: Their mint chip ice cream is the best!
Bartley’s Gourmet Burgers: I get the Bill Clinton – yum!
Dunkin Donuts: I love Dunkin’s Iced Coffee. It may come as a surprise, but I like to get it before practice.
Berry Line: Original with mochi is my fav combo here!
Canteen: A little sandwich shop right near my apartment. Such good stuff, but I like the Canteen BLT.
Live Alive: They have delicious vegetarian bowls and wraps – my favorite is the adventurer bowl.
Picco: Sausage pizza – mmm!
Peet’s Coffee: Notice I like coffee much? The hot Vanilla Latte is my pick here.
Judy Jetson Hair: This is were I first chopped off my hair and dyed it auburn in season one of WPS. It is always hard to part ways with this place after each season!

Gosh darn it Amy! First you and the rest of the USWNT inspire me to eat healthy and stay in shape and now you fill my head with notions of sugary coffee, ice cream, and pizza. It’s ok though because those food cravings were soon replaced by thoughts of a roaring crows, bright lights, and tons of excitement when I realized that it’s less than 40 days until I get to watch you and the gang live in Vancouver. I can’t wait!

The fact that you’re a foodie cracks me up although, I’m the same way–I think about what’s for lunch and dinner before breakfast is done (I blame the gym). I hope the WPS gets squared away, there’s a lot of people out there who would be very disappointed to see it go. I’ll be decked out in my Team USA gear at the Olympic Qualifiers in January cheering you guys on! Best wishes, stay healthy!

there sure is a lot of coffee mentioned in this post. maybe you should consider renaming the blog and include the coffee?? 
if you ever make it to vienna, I can personally recommend the following little gem: fettundzucker. no fancy creations, just plain, excellent coffee brewed in one of those old mechanic Italian espresso machines. and that comes from a tea-lover.

Those places look great. I actually kinda feel some nostalgia for you. I often think about the place in Atlanta(where I used to live) where I first chopped off and dyed my hair.

I love Cambridge and Live Alive especially! This is very cool.

Oh Amy, you sound just like my mom. She’s a huge fan of Dunkin. And Starbucks. With seven kids under the age of 13 (and I’m the oldest, by the way), coffee helps her keep on high alert. She also likes diet coke. I know, that’s random, but still…
Next to Oreo, Mint Choclate chip is my favorite flavor!
If I EVER go to Boston, I’ll try to check out one of the coffee shops you mentioned.
